Fatima Badran is a 26-year-old woman of Lebanese origin born in Montreal. Her academic and professional background led her to develop a passion for public affairs and international relations, as well as a strong desire to help improve her community.

A high school diploma from l’École secondaire Henri-Bourassa, a Diploma of College Studies in social sciences from Cégep Marie-Victorin and a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) have given her a deep understanding of global issues and public policy. One of her most memorable experiences was participating in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a United Nations agency that helps 193 countries “to cooperate together and share their skies to their mutual benefit.” Her delegation won the Best Delegation Award, reinforcing her interest in diplomacy.

In September 2022, she started working in the office of MP Emmanuel Dubourg. Initially an administrative assistant, she quickly progressed to political attaché, a position that enabled her to develop communication, legislative file management, and strategic analysis skills. In supervisory roles at Walmart and Pharmaprix, she gained team management and problem-solving skills.

She now wants to use her experience and knowledge to serve the community and advocate for innovative and sustainable policy solutions. Her goal is to help build a more just, inclusive and united society. Fatima is proud to be your Liberal candidate for Montcalm and looks forward to representing you in Ottawa.
